The dark figures closed in around her, and panic seized in her belly. She tried to cry out for help, she knew Arthur had to be close, but no sound would come. She was alone, and a cold hand closed around her arm, vice-like -

She wiggled it at him with a laugh. "And I'm glad you're happy. You deserve it."

"Thanks," he said again and leaned down to kiss her shoulder.

She leaned into him a little. "As long as it's me making you happy," she joked.

"Of course. There's no other person," he assured her.

She finally turned around to kiss him again. "Let's go to the movies or something tonight. Turn around, I want to do your back now."

He turned and let the water wash down his face. "What kind of movie?"

She busied herself scrubbing his back. "Something funny."

[isnt_the_same]

"You choose."

[chesstotem]

"I'll do that," she said, giving his ass an affectionate pinch. "If nothing else, I heard there's a new movie out about sparkly vampires."

"No way," he said quickly.

Ariadne just laughed at him.

"No vampire movies, alright? I can't stand them."

[chesstotem]

"It is just so easy to bait you," she managed between laughs.

[isnt_the_same]

"Yeah, yeah. Hurry up and scrub my back," he said, rolling his eyes.

She finished up and kissed his shoulderblade. "You're way hotter than any of those sparkly guys."

"I'd hope so," he said as he turned around.

She kissed his jaw. "You're real. And you care about me. And you don't sparkle, I appreciate that."

He grinned. "Let's get out of the shower."

[chesstotem]

"Okay." She kissed him once more, then shut off the water.

Arthur grabbed them each a towel before he took one of them and started drying off her hair.

She smiled, letting him do as he pleased.

He moved the towel down and dried off her shoulders before leaving it around her neck. "There."

She smiled and tweaked his nose. "So tell me this: are you really gonna live forever?"

[isnt_the_same]

"I won't die from aging or disease, so if someone doesn't tear my head off, yes, I'm going to live forever," he replied.

"How do you feel about that?" She finished drying herself, and went to get dressed, acting as though she were talking about the weather.
