The dark figures closed in around her, and panic seized in her belly. She tried to cry out for help, she knew Arthur had to be close, but no sound would come. She was alone, and a cold hand closed around her arm, vice-like -

"Alright." He undid his tie before pulling her over to a mirror and stand behind her. After brushing her hair behind her shoulders, Arthur slid the tie behind her neck and under her hair.

She let him guide her hands, learning the proper way to knot it.

"There we are. A half-Windsor knot," he said when he finished and patted her shoulders.

"I feel so dashing," she teased.

He grinned as he loosened the tie and took it off of her before putting it on and tightening it around his neck.

"Let me!"

He huffed out a laugh before holding out his palms. "Go ahead."

She squinted in concentration as she carefully did the knot up. It took a couple of tries, but eventually she got it looking right. "There."

"Perfect." He straightened it then buttoned his jacket.

She kissed him gently. "What's your plan for the day?"

"I'm not sure," he admitted.

"All dressed up, and nowhere to go?"

[isnt_the_same]

He grinned. "Not unless we go somewhere."

"Where would you like to go?"

[isnt_the_same]

"Anywhere. You pick."

[chesstotem]

"Notre Dame?" she suggested.

[isnt_the_same]

"You want to play tourists for a day?"

[chesstotem]

"Sure. I like Notre Dame."

[isnt_the_same]

"Alright. Get ready then."

[chesstotem]

She glanced down at herself, in her usual jeans and blouse. "Is this acceptable for church, do you think?"

"At least your shoulders are covered," he teased. "It's a bit brisk outside so grab a jacket."

[chesstotem]

"Yes, sir," she said with a laugh. She pulled on her rust-red jacket, which clashed spectacularly with the pale blue scarf she wore.

When she donned that jacket, he couldn't help but laugh as he took her hand. "Ready then?"

"Yeah, but don't laugh at me anymore," she said, wrinkling her nose at him.

"I'm sorry." He leaned over and nose her nose before leading her out of her apartment.
