The dark figures closed in around her, and panic seized in her belly. She tried to cry out for help, she knew Arthur had to be close, but no sound would come. She was alone, and a cold hand closed around her arm, vice-like -

"All dressed up, and nowhere to go?"

He grinned. "Not unless we go somewhere."

"Where would you like to go?"

"Anywhere. You pick."

"Notre Dame?" she suggested.

"You want to play tourists for a day?"

[chesstotem]

"Sure. I like Notre Dame."

"Alright. Get ready then."

She glanced down at herself, in her usual jeans and blouse. "Is this acceptable for church, do you think?"

"At least your shoulders are covered," he teased. "It's a bit brisk outside so grab a jacket."

[chesstotem]

"Yes, sir," she said with a laugh. She pulled on her rust-red jacket, which clashed spectacularly with the pale blue scarf she wore.

When she donned that jacket, he couldn't help but laugh as he took her hand. "Ready then?"

"Yeah, but don't laugh at me anymore," she said, wrinkling her nose at him.

[isnt_the_same]

"I'm sorry." He leaned over and nose her nose before leading her out of her apartment.

"You are not," she teased, taking his hand when they were outside.

[isnt_the_same]

"I almost wish you had worn a dress," he said.

[chesstotem]

"Why is that?"

[isnt_the_same]

"You don't wear dresses often enough," he explained.

[chesstotem]

"Am I not feminine enough for you?" she teased.

[isnt_the_same]

He smiled at her as they descended the stairs. "Skirts and dresses are easier to work with than pants."

She pretended to be shocked. "Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting? We're going to a church, Arthur!"

[isnt_the_same]

He huffed out a laugh. "I meant later."

[chesstotem]

"We just had sex and you're already thinking about the next time." She shook her head and gave him a kiss before hailing a cab.

"Is that a bad thing?"

When a cab pulled up, Arthur opened the door for her.

"Depends. I mean, if you only think about me in terms of when we can have sex, well..."
