Everything was going well, and soon enough, they were able to bring the baby home. Ariadne was extra-excited, because even as nice as the hospital accommodations were, she really wanted her own bed and some of Arthur's cooking.

Of course, the baby never let her sleep more than three hours at a stretch.

She groaned, shifting to look at the clock. An ungodly hour of the morning, as she expected. But the baby's cries were coming in loud and clear over the monitor. She sighed and stretched.

"Still happy?" she asked then.

"Mhm," he murmured.

She rested her head on his chest with a sigh. "Thanks for taking care of her."

He wrapped his arms around her. "You're welcome. How are you feeling?"

[chesstotem]

"Pretty good. Spotting a bit still, but the doctor said that's normal."

[dontthinkabout]

He nodded. "But you're not in any pain, right?"

[chesstotem]

"Not since yesterday - I had some cramping, but it wasn't any worse than when I have my period."

He nodded again.

[chesstotem]

"I'm at least glad I was able to have her naturally, instead of a C-section," she murmured. "Those sometimes take loger to heal. Though, there are other changes you might notice, whenever we start having sex again..."

"I know." He'd read about it anyway.

[chesstotem]

She leaned over to give him a quick kiss. "Man of my dreams."

[dontthinkabout]

He grinned. "How ironic."

[chesstotem]

She giggled and snuggled close.

[dontthinkabout]

"I was thinking, if we start working again or if I do, we should hire a nanny," he suggested.

"You still want to do that?"

[dontthinkabout]

"Yes." While they were fine for now with the two of them at home day and night, it'd be harder to take care of the baby if they were busy with work.

[chesstotem]

"All right," she said after a long moment of thought. "We can start looking for someone."

[dontthinkabout]

"Are you sure?" He asked.

[chesstotem]

"Yeah. I know we'll find someone we can trust."

[dontthinkabout]

"Alright." Well that was easier than he thought.

[chesstotem]

She shrugged a little. "My parents said they'd be willing to move out here, but it's easier said than done, and it would take time, regardless. And... I miss working."

He smiled a little. "I know you do."

[chesstotem]

"I'll still have to be careful about going under, but..." She smiled and touched Arthur's face. "I'm looking forward to being able to do it again."

"Are you going back on birth control?" He asked.

[chesstotem]

"Probably, once my body goes back to normal and we start having sex again. It's either that or condoms, unless you want another one right away," she teased.
