Everything was going well, and soon enough, they were able to bring the baby home. Ariadne was extra-excited, because even as nice as the hospital accommodations were, she really wanted her own bed and some of Arthur's cooking.

Of course, the baby never let her sleep more than three hours at a stretch.

She groaned, shifting to look at the clock. An ungodly hour of the morning, as she expected. But the baby's cries were coming in loud and clear over the monitor. She sighed and stretched.

Arthur woke up too when he heard the baby crying. He'd always been a light sleeper and mixed in with him always being alert, he sat up. "Want me go?" Arthur asked.

"Could you?" she asked, leaning over to press her forehead to his shoulder. "There's a bottle in the fridge. Just need to warm it up..."

"Of course." He leaned down to press a kiss to her temple before getting up and walking down the hall to the nursery. The baby was fidgeting under her blanket so he slid it up and carefully lifted her into his arms. He rocked her a little before going downstairs to the kitchen and warming up the bottle in the microwave.

Ariadne settled back under the covers, listening to the sounds of Arthur picking the baby up in the nursery.

When she heard him go downstairs, she leaned back and closed her eyes, preparing to go back to sleep.

She stopped crying once Arthur started feeding her. "Good girl," he said softly. When she was done, Arthur grabbed a cloth and situated it over his shoulder before he started burping her.

Ariadne stayed awake, thinking about the baby, and how weird it was that her body had grown that little person who now slept in the nursery. She'd started getting used to being big and unweildy; now she was back to more or less her normal size. She ran a hand over her tummy thoughtfully.

After feeding and burping her, Arthur put Eleanor back into her crib. They'd need to wake up in a few hours when she needed her diaper changed, but no matter. He walked back into the bedroom and and got under the covers.

"Hey," Ariadne said with a smile. "How is she? Still perfect?"

"Still perfect," he assured her, grinning.

"Still happy?" she asked then.

[dontthinkabout]

"Mhm," he murmured.

[chesstotem]

She rested her head on his chest with a sigh. "Thanks for taking care of her."

He wrapped his arms around her. "You're welcome. How are you feeling?"

"Pretty good. Spotting a bit still, but the doctor said that's normal."

[dontthinkabout]

He nodded. "But you're not in any pain, right?"

[chesstotem]

"Not since yesterday - I had some cramping, but it wasn't any worse than when I have my period."

He nodded again.

[chesstotem]

"I'm at least glad I was able to have her naturally, instead of a C-section," she murmured. "Those sometimes take loger to heal. Though, there are other changes you might notice, whenever we start having sex again..."

"I know." He'd read about it anyway.

She leaned over to give him a quick kiss. "Man of my dreams."

He grinned. "How ironic."

[chesstotem]

She giggled and snuggled close.

[dontthinkabout]

"I was thinking, if we start working again or if I do, we should hire a nanny," he suggested.

"You still want to do that?"

[dontthinkabout]

"Yes." While they were fine for now with the two of them at home day and night, it'd be harder to take care of the baby if they were busy with work.
