Everything was going well, and soon enough, they were able to bring the baby home. Ariadne was extra-excited, because even as nice as the hospital accommodations were, she really wanted her own bed and some of Arthur's cooking.

Of course, the baby never let her sleep more than three hours at a stretch.

She groaned, shifting to look at the clock. An ungodly hour of the morning, as she expected. But the baby's cries were coming in loud and clear over the monitor. She sighed and stretched.

"Yes." While they were fine for now with the two of them at home day and night, it'd be harder to take care of the baby if they were busy with work.

"All right," she said after a long moment of thought. "We can start looking for someone."

"Are you sure?" He asked.

[chesstotem]

"Yeah. I know we'll find someone we can trust."

[dontthinkabout]

"Alright." Well that was easier than he thought.

[chesstotem]

She shrugged a little. "My parents said they'd be willing to move out here, but it's easier said than done, and it would take time, regardless. And... I miss working."

He smiled a little. "I know you do."

[chesstotem]

"I'll still have to be careful about going under, but..." She smiled and touched Arthur's face. "I'm looking forward to being able to do it again."

"Are you going back on birth control?" He asked.

[chesstotem]

"Probably, once my body goes back to normal and we start having sex again. It's either that or condoms, unless you want another one right away," she teased.

He huffed out a laugh. "We can wait a couple of years before we have another one."

"That's what I was thinking, too," she murmured.

"Mm, good," he said and kissed the top of her head.

"How are you feeling?" she asked.

"Good. Tired, but good," he replied.

"Just good?" she teased.

[dontthinkabout]

He chuckled. "Yes, why?"

"There are many other words you could use."

[dontthinkabout]

"Alright? How about elated?"

[chesstotem]

"Elated. I like that. Like you're on cloud nine."

"Exactly," he said with a smile.

She nuzzled him affectionately. "I love you, husband."

"Love you wife." He pressed kisses to her face.

"You better," she murmured, dozing towards sleep. It would be only a few hours, then the baby would need something.

At least it was dawn when she started crying again. Arthur wasn't as alert this time though. "Ariadne?" He muttered, his eyes still closed.
