Ariadne wasn't quite sure where Arthur would take her out, so she opted for a nice black dress and a sweater over it. She thought anyone who said black was "slimming" hadn't tried wearing it while five months pregnant. But that was okay. Despite the discomfort (and occasional old ladies trying to touch her tummy), Ariadne felt good. And Arthur was happy, too.

"Thank you for taking me out," she said with a smile. "I was starting to get cabin fever."

"If you're starting to get cabin fever, then we should go out more often."

"Okay," she said. "If you want. And if I'm feeling okay. I'm feeling really good tonight."

"That's good. I mean, you're practically glowing."

"I am not," she laughed.

"Yes, you are."

She ducked her head a little. "You make me feel good."

"I'm glad. It's what I'm here for."

"But next time, you can pick what we do," she said. "Whatever you want."

"Even if it means sitting outside in a park?"

"Of course. As long as I have a warm sweater."

"Of course. The last thing I want you to be is cold."

"What's the first thing you want, right now?" she asked.

"Dessert," he answered.

"I like that idea. And then home?"

"And then what?" she asked.

"I'll leave that up to you," he replied.

"No, it's up to you," she said. "In apology for ogling that actor."

"Okay." She smiled sweetly at him. "I think I want the cherry cheesecake for dessert."

“Then we’ll get the cheesecake. Are you finished with dinner?”

"Yeah," she said with a little smirk.
