Their flight landed in Honolulu in mid-afternoon, so by the time they got their bags, hailed a cab and got to their hotel to check in, it was practically time for dinner. Fortunately, their hotel had a nice restaurant right off the lobby. Ariadne spent the meal watching Arthur closely, hoping he was feeling a little more relaxed. Ever since that projection had managed to shoot her in that dream, he'd been plagued with nightmares and had been really tense.

This trip had been his idea, and Ariadne hoped it would help. "We can go to the beach right away tomorrow, if you want," she suggested.

“Yeah, it’s really good,” he commented.

She grinned at him. "Good day?"

"Mhm," he said with a smile.

"I'm glad you're having fun."

"Are you having fun?"

"Yeah, I am," she said immediately. "I think I have a nice tan, now."

"Yeah, you're not red at all."

"Because you did a good job with the sunscreen on my back," she responded.

"Well, what can I say?"

She laughed and shrugged. "You're amazing."

"Yeah," he said with a shrug, looking modest.

"Are you excited for your surprise?"

"Yeah," he answered.

She finished up her meal, then smiled at him. "Want me to go get it?"

"Sure."

She hopped up and went to the bathroom again. After a few minutes, she came back out, wearing her new lingerie.

"That's my surprise?" He asked.

She glanced down at herself, looking a little sheepish. "Yep."

"You look really--it's really nice."

"Yeah? Thanks." She grinned a little, and turned for the bedroom. "Join me?"

“What about the food?” He asked.

"I'm finished eating," she answered. "Take your time. I'm not going anywhere."

He thought about it for a second. Arthur hated wasting food so he finished the rest of the kebab and steamed vegetables.

Ariadne chuckled a little to herself, sitting on the bed to flip through a book.

After putting the empty plates back onto the cart and rolling it into the hallway, Arthur made his way back tot he bedroom.
