Eight weeks. She was eight weeks pregnant, and she knew she couldn't wait any longer. Her errands complete, she put the groceries away and went to find Arthur in his office. Slipping her arms around his shoulders from behind, she kissed his neck. "I'm going to call my parents on Skype in a few minutes. I'd like you to be with me," she murmured in his ear.

“Okay, okay, I won’t.” He grinned and greased the pan before laying down two patties onto it.

“Don’t worry, I read it in a book,” he said as he covered the burgers with the lid.

“Is Andrew coming?” He asked. He wasn’t sure if they had enough space for four people in their condo.

“Should we ask them before they get here?”

“Oh the joys of being pregnant,” he joked as he flipped the burgers with a spatula.

“We did,” he said as he turned to kiss her temple. Leaving the burgers on the pan for a bit, he turned on the ovens and laid out the buns on a baking sheet to toast.

“I think she’ll be too concerned with how she presents herself to take a dig at you.”

He rested a hand on her lower back. "Don't think about it. Let me handle it."

He laughed as he turned off the stove and the oven and got two plates for each burger. He set each plate down on the table before going back to get cheese and ketchup.

“You’re making one for me, right?”

He was laying down the bacon on her burger as well as his.

“Come on, sit.” He pulled out her chair for her before going to his and sitting down.

“I suppose it had to be done,” he said with a shrug.
