Moving Day (for dontthinkabout)

Ariadne knew that the day all their new furniture got delivered to the condo would be busy - she'd done her best to time all the delivery arrivals so that there wouldn't be too much of a clusterfuck, but inevitably there were about three trucks parked on the street at any given time.

And she had a lot of burly delivery men to direct.

"Master bedroom, please," she said firmly to one group, then turned to another couple of guys, who were hauling her drafting table. "Careful with that, please take it to the breakfast nook, that space to the back of the kitchen with all the windows. Thanks..."

“You don’t have to do that.” He pressed the tip of his nose to hers.

"I know," she murmured, "but I will, anyway."

He slid his hand down her side, stopping it on her hip. “Anything I want? You could make breakfast tomorrow.”

"Sure. Whatever you'd like, as long as you know it might be burned."

“I don’t mind burnt pancakes that much although I'd prefer it not to be burnt."

She giggled. "I'll do my best. I promise."

“And bacon and eggs, too, if you can manage.”

"Yessir."

He smirked. “Maybe I should order you around more often.”

"You could certainly try," she said haughtily. "As long as you're aware of the risks involved."

He cradled her face in his hands as he laughed. “I’m kidding. I wouldn't do that to you.”

"I know, because you wouldn't like having to sleep on the sofa, as nice as it is," she responded.

“No, I would most definitely not like sleeping on the sofa. Besides, I love sleeping next to you.”

She grinned and nuzzled his neck. "You love being on top of me, you mean."

“And under you and behind you. All of it, in fact.”

"What would you say is your favorite?" she asked slyly. "So I have some idea of how to plan for your birthdays in the future."

Arthur chuckled and shrugged. “All of them are.”

She laughed, sighed and shook her head. "What would you pick, in general, if you had a choice between me, tied up and at your mercy, or the other way around?"

“Hmm…well, there are pros and cons to each option, but if I had to choose, you being tied and at my mercy sounds like the better idea.”

She grinned and nibbled his lower lip. "I'll remember that."

“What about you? What do you want for your birthday?”

"Oh, I don't know. Probably the same thing. With spanking." She laughed.

“Spanking, I can definitely do that. Anything else? Breakfast in bed? Sexy lingerie? A foot rub?"

"All of the above?" she asked, raising her eyebrows. "And a new scarf?"
